50° PINK FLOYD LIVE IN ITALY, 1968/2018

Pink Floyd are among the most beloved music groups in the world, but there are some countries with which the feeling, even in the words of the artists themselves, has always been particularly strong. The nonprofit Floydseum Cultural Association, recognized and appreciated on the national and international scene, is composed of some of the best known and serious Italian collectors of the Pink Floyd band, which promote cultural initiatives aimed at enhancing and spreading the "pink passion" through the involvement of collectors, enthusiasts or simple Pink Floyd fans.

One of These Days, Pink Floyd Live in Italy 1968/2018

  • Published in News

Pink Floyd are among the most beloved music groups in the world, but there are some countries with which the feeling, even in the words of the artists themselves, has always been particularly strong. Among these also Italy that has had the honor of hosting the live performances of Floyd since 1968 and, considering also the solo performances, until the end of 2018, when Roger Waters will perform in Milan, Bologna, Lucca and Rome.

The Floydseum Cultural Association, in the same style as "The Night Of Wonders", its first book dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Pink Floyd concert in Venice on July 15th 1989, has decided to launch a new project entitled "ONE OF THESE DAYS, Pink Floyd live in Italy 1968/2018 ", and it does so in the same vein that inspired the first writing, that of sharing and true union between fans.

Our desire is to give voice to all those who love the pink band and who in these decades have been lucky enough to see them live in Italy.

The collection of photographs and written testimonies regarding any live performance by Pink Floyd in Italy (1968-1994) starts immediately.

If you want to make your material available (photos, written testimonials, newspaper articles, memorabilia) you can do it by writing to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Remember, by sending your photos and your writings, you authorize Floydseum to use them freely for their own purposes!

The most beautiful photos and the most engaging writings will become part of our next book and of any exhibition and event related to the publication of the same. Do not miss the opportunity to make your voice heard, send your material and participate in this initiative that wants to celebrate spontaneously and shared the long history of "pink concerts" in Italy.

The Pink Floyd and the magic of the piano

  • Published in News

For the first time in Veneto, Italy, AyseDeniz Gökçin, the pianist who has revolutionized the way of playing the piano, superbly interpreting some of the main masterpieces of Pink Floyd, re-arranged in the style of Franz Liszt.

"I was a little girl when I started playing the piano, that was my toy, but my hands were too small so I could not start taking lessons up to 5 and a half years! I loved spending time with the instrument, composing songs and getting all my applause from my mother. I think when someone encourages you and what you like, you can do it much easier! I've never had a weeklong vacation without a piano, and it was definitely an extension of my body and soul. And it is still so! I can not be happy if I do not have access to a piano for a long time, it's as if you lived without talking!"(AyseDeniz Gökçin)

Save the Date! Floydseum Film Festival

September 6, 2014

Among the most important rock festival held in Europe, the Holland Pop Festival (also called Stamping Ground Festival) between 26 and 28 June 1970 gathered near Rotterdam several thousand young people, thanks to the proposal of a cast of considerable interest.

The festival was held in conjunction with the impressive Bath Festival and the organizers thought the Dutch to agree with the British in order to give an opportunity for many groups to perform in both shows.

The Pink Floyd, for example, played an important concert at the Bath Festival on June 27, during which introduced a new suite of "Atom Heart Mother", accompanied by a large horn section and a chorus; the day after the group played at the Holland Pop Festival, but without horns, choir and light show.

In addition to the cast included the Byrds, Pink Floyd, Caravan, Third Ear Band, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Jefferson Airplane, Renaissance, Santana, Soft Machine, Dr. John, Fairport Convention, It's A Beautiful Day, Canned Heat, Pentangle, Quintessence, East Of Eden , Family, Country Joe, Flock and jazz musicians such as John Surman and Art Ensemble Of Chicago. The event was documented with the creation of a film directed by Jason Pohland and George Sluizer.
